Job Description:

We’re excited to be partnering with a highly reputable Insurance group and are seeking an accomplished and motivated Head of Line of Business to join their Custom Market Facing Team in Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the New Business submissions, portfolio renewals, sales support, team leadership, talent development, compliance, risk management, and innovation initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage New Business submissions and distribution criteria
  • Populate quotes on the IT system and issue policies
  • Monitor and update the NB Tariff and portfolio performance strategy
  • Support Business Developers and/or Head of Market Facing Teams in sales initiatives
  • Read, understand, and act within the limits of personal authority letter
  • Collaborate with Claims Department when needed
  • Lead and develop the team, including people management
  • Engage in innovation initiatives and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in underwriting the line of business
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Law, Economics, Business Administration or similar)
  • Business level English (B2 or higher), Spanish (native)
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong business relationships
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products
