Job Description:

As Head of Lettings Accounts, you will lead the financial operations of our busy lettings accounts department. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all client accounting processes while delivering exceptional service to landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all lettings-related financial processes, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
  • Oversee tenant and landlord queries, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of company services
  • Prepare financial reports on lettings income, expenditure, arrears, and account performance
  • Manage payments to landlords, contractors, and third parties
  • Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounts lettings team
  • Act as the primary point of contact for lettings-related financial queries
  • Review, refine, and enhance existing financial systems and processes
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations including AML, data protection, and landlord/tenant legislation
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication and efficient service
  • Focus on collection of overdue funds from both, Landlords, Tenants and third parties

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in accounts or a similar finance role, ideally degree-qualified or AAT Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior, supervisory, or management role with responsibility for coaching and developing staff
  • Property or Lettings Industry experience beneficial
  • Strong leadership capability with a passion for building high-performance teams
  • Commercially astute with strong financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, confident when engaging colleagues, clients, and external partners
  • Data-driven with the ability to interpret financial and performance metrics and turn insights into improvements
  • Proactive, adaptable, and resilient, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
