AmRest is seeking an experienced Head of Legal for France to join our team. As Head of Legal, you will hold a key leadership role, overseeing legal operations in France and providing strategic advice on legal matters impacting both operational and corporate activities.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the in-house Legal Team in France, while supervising external counsel for activities across France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the UK
Deliver high-quality legal support to multiple functions and entities in these markets
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of business contracts, with a strong focus on lease agreements
Structure, negotiate, and close diverse transactions within France
Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards for AmRest entities
Oversee statutory compliance and corporate formalities
Manage disputes and litigation
Control the Legal Department’s budget
Uphold AmRest’s corporate legal procedures, policies, and best practices
Collaborate with key stakeholders, department heads, and market leaders on legal matters in France and other designated countries, while contributing to global legal projects
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a corporate legal environment
At least 3 years in a leadership role
Law degree (Bachelor’s)
Native-level French and advanced English proficiency
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating lease agreements
Exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, risk management, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated success in managing and developing team members
