Job Description:

AmRest is seeking an experienced Head of Legal for France to join our team. As Head of Legal, you will hold a key leadership role, overseeing legal operations in France and providing strategic advice on legal matters impacting both operational and corporate activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the in-house Legal Team in France, while supervising external counsel for activities across France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the UK
  • Deliver high-quality legal support to multiple functions and entities in these markets
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of business contracts, with a strong focus on lease agreements
  • Structure, negotiate, and close diverse transactions within France
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards for AmRest entities
  • Oversee statutory compliance and corporate formalities
  • Manage disputes and litigation
  • Control the Legal Department’s budget
  • Uphold AmRest’s corporate legal procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, department heads, and market leaders on legal matters in France and other designated countries, while contributing to global legal projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a corporate legal environment
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Law degree (Bachelor’s)
  • Native-level French and advanced English proficiency
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating lease agreements
  • Exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, risk management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing team members
