Job Description:

A high-growth UK telecoms and digital infrastructure business is seeking a Head of Legal to lead its in-house legal function as the most senior lawyer in the organisation. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Board and C-suite, this is a strategic, commercially focused role supporting the next phase of growth, corporate simplification and network commercialisation.

Job Responsibility:

Act as the senior legal adviser to the CFO, Board and Executive Leadership Team on commercial, corporate, funding, governance and strategic projects
Lead and develop a small team (newly qualified lawyer and paralegals)
Play a key role in ongoing corporate finance structuring and negotiations with banks, investors and private equity
Support future M&A and consolidation activity
Provide broad-based commercial support across supply chain, construction, commercial agreements, sales, marketing and consumer/ISP issues

Requirements:

Qualified solicitor with c.7–10+ PQE
Strong grounding in corporate finance / transactions from a reputable firm
Subsequent in-house commercial experience
Comfortable working at Board and C-suite level
Experience with telecoms, Ofcom or other regulated infrastructure/utilities is helpful but not essential
Broad commercial skill set
Diplomatic, emotionally intelligent and relationship-led

Nice to have:

Previous experience in Corporate M&A/Corporate Finance
Experience with telecoms, Ofcom or other regulated infrastructure/utilities
