This is a pivotal, senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering a progressive, company-wide learning strategy. You will cultivate a strong and consistent learning culture across the group, ensuring that training is engaging, high quality, and aligned to both regulatory expectations and wider business objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Shaping and delivering a progressive, company-wide learning strategy
Cultivating a strong and consistent learning culture across the group
Leading and developing the training function, overseeing budgets, resources, funding streams and external partnerships
Balancing strategic oversight with operational delivery
Designing innovative development pathways and succession plans
Ensuring mandatory training and compliance standards are effectively embedded across all services
Strengthening apprenticeship provision, maximising levy utilisation, enhancing the Learning Management System
Exploring opportunities to expand funded and accredited programmes
Working closely with Directors, Regional Teams and Home Managers to identify skills gaps, support underperforming services, and implement impactful development initiatives
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior Learning & Development leadership role
Background within elderly care or health and social care environments
Experience developing workforce strategies, leadership pathways and succession planning initiatives
Happy to travel across the South of England throughout the week
