Job Description:

King’s College School Soto de Viñuelas, is seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced professional to support and lead Learning Development and Safeguarding across the school from September 2026.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading Learning Development provision across the whole school
  • Acting as the school SENCO
  • Leading the development and monitoring of IEPs
  • Supporting pupils with IEPs across the curriculum
  • Ensuring appropriate access arrangements for public examinations
  • Delivering and leading INSET related to SEND
  • Managing Learning Development staff and resources
  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead in line with UK best practice
  • Leading safeguarding training and compliance
  • Liaising with external agencies
  • Promoting a strong safeguarding culture across the school

Requirements:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent
  • Has significant SEND experience in a British curriculum setting
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • For DSL: has substantial safeguarding leadership experience
