Should know the nuances of various types of trading algorithms used by sell side brokers (Execution Algos as well Arbitrage Algos)
Should keep an eye on the emerging trends in the technology landscape
Understand the SDLC lifecycle well
Have strong understanding of the Exchange (BSE/NSE) IT Infrastructure and the various components that comes into play
Knowledge of the exchange co-location architecture
