Fugro is looking for a Head of Internal Communications. You lead the internal communications team within the global Brand, Marketing & Communications organisation. You act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders, helping them communicate with clarity, confidence and impact. You collaborate closely with colleagues across brand, public affairs, content marketing & PR, digital marketing & communications, and internal communications to ensure a consistent and compelling narrative across Fugro. You create an environment where your team can thrive—empowering them to deliver high-quality strategies, creative concepts and communication platforms that support strategy execution and strengthen employee engagement worldwide. You also play a key role in organisational change, issue and crisis communication, and the development of future-proof internal communication channels.
Job Responsibility:
Build and lead an engaged, high‑performing internal communications team through modern, people‑focused leadership
Develop and implement a global internal communications strategy that drives alignment around Fugro’s vision, strategy and culture
Support organisational change programmes with effective, timely and transparent communication
Create innovative communication concepts and enhance internal channels to improve reach and impact
Strengthen leadership communication by coaching senior leaders and driving strategic storytelling across the organisation
Plan, coordinate and evaluate internal communication activities, events and campaigns
Monitor potential organisational issues, advise on mitigation, and support the development of key messages and Q&As
Establish research and analytics practices to gather insights and continuously improve communication effectiveness
Requirements:
A Masters degree in Corporate Communications, People and/or Change Management or similar and experience in a similar role
Proven experience in leading internal communications in a complex, global organisation
Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business priorities into clear communication strategies and demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior leaders with confidence and executive presence
A modern, people-centric leadership style that fosters engagement, growth and collaboration
Creativity in developing communication concepts and channels that resonate across diverse audiences and experience in change communication, issue management and crisis communication
A data-informed mindset, using research and analytics to enhance communication outcomes
Excellent communication skills, cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively across global teams
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
