Job Description

Head of Internal Auditor & Compliance – Services Business. Opportunity to be part of the implementation of a risk-based internal audit approach as well as overseeing a large pre-existing compliance audit function.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and lead the delivery of a risk-based internal audit plan addressing the highest risk areas of the business
  • Significant stakeholder engagement to introduce internal audit to many parts of the business
  • Agree corrective actions following audit reporting in a constructive manner
  • Report on progress to the Executive Board and Audit Committee regularly
  • Manage two separate compliance audit teams split between Rochdale & London

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Internal Audit professional (ACA/ACCA/CIA)
  • Extensive Internal Audit experience, either from industry or Big 4/Top 10 practice
  • Strong experience of managing teams
  • Excellent communicator
  • If making a first move from practice, must have prior experience of seconding to a client and managing the in-house team
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
