Job Description:

We are seeking a Head of Insights to lead, develop and scale our Insights function. This role is responsible for setting the direction, standards and operating model for how insight is generated, communicated and delivered to customers. You will lead a small but growing team of analysts, acting as a player–coach initially, but with a clear focus on insight quality, customer value, automation, scalability, and developing people and capability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and evolve the Insights vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Define and embed best practice standards for insight quality, storytelling and presentation
  • Build, mentor and manage a high-performing Insights team
  • Establish ways of working, prioritisation frameworks and QA processes
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of future Insights hires
  • Set direction on which insights matter most to customers
  • Review and challenge insight outputs for clarity and impact
  • Drive automation and repeatable insight products
  • Identify opportunities to expand insight coverage
  • Work with Engineering and Product on insight-led development
  • Act as a senior Insights representative with key customers
  • Lead or support high-impact customer presentations
  • Ensure insights clearly demonstrate value
  • Identify insight-led commercial opportunities

Requirements:

  • Senior experience in Insights / Analytics leadership
  • Proven people management capability
  • Strong insight storytelling and decision-support skills
  • Experience with large, complex datasets
  • Excellent stakeholder communication
  • Experience of working in procurement and/or the NHS (desirable)
