This is a senior strategic leadership role, responsible for leading a large team to developing insights and analytics products that have a direct, tangible impact on brand and broader business value. The role will progress development and democratisation of new and innovative analytics products that can be customized to drive proactive insights, customer experience and revenue generation across all our brands. The role will also be responsible for the ongoing development of our existing reporting suites to improve utilization and focus attention on the key insights. Our insights will strategically evolve into more predictive, real-time insights with a call to action to realise business and customer value across our broader Enterprise and leading into the development of analytics products, working closely with our data science and AI team.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and own the insights and analytics strategic business plan
Meet and exceed business OKRs through design and delivery of insights and analytics products
Act as a senior consultant to the business to identify opportunities and issues for data-driven decisions
Lead and develop of a team of reporting and data analysts and managers
Measure tangible impacts against baseline metrics
Provide high level business and functional engagement and communication across multiple brands, marketing, finance, sales and product teams
Identify solutions to business problems and opportunities, including evaluation of emerging technology and AI capability
Provide the democratisation of insights and analytics across our enterprise, showing an understanding of data maturity and the levels of education and upskilling required
Lead several multi-functional, Agile teams to iteratively design and deliver insights and analytics products
Requirements:
Bachelors or master's in economics, mathematics, data science, statistics, finance or analytics
8-10+ years of experience in insights, analytics and data science
Experience in data and analytics across channels, including web and app, including modern web analytics tools (Adobe analytics, Google Analytics)
Experience of leadership in an insights and analytics team, including mentoring and career development
Experience of using data analytical techniques to generate useable insights and analytics outcomes, such as customer segmentation, propensity models, forecasting, predictive analytics
Design and development of insights products and reporting suites / dashboards
Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to gain the respect of senior executive management and external executives and partners
Excellent quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated track record of project sponsorship and ownership
Nice to have:
Experience in a relevant area – retail, customer (B2C), travel, ecommerce, or technology is a strong plus
