Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Infrastructure Services to join our dynamic and evolving technology function. The role is accountable for the delivery and support of all infrastructure services across on-prem and Azure Cloud environments, as well as leading the infrastructure team. You’ll shape and implement an infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals, regulatory requirements, and security standards. Provide guidance to other areas of the business in selecting, developing, and implementing innovative solutions. The role is classed as certified under the Senior Manager and Certification regime. You will be classed as a Material Risk Taker (MRT)/Certified Person.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of Infrastructure Strategy
  • Operational running of the Infrastructure environment
  • People management of the infrastructure team
  • Owner of all app and capability services delivered from the infrastructure space (finance, OR, Risk, Audit, strategy, operations, lifecycle management, continuous improvement, vendor management, stakeholder management, etc.)
  • Part of the Technology Management leadership and responsible for supporting development of Technology Strategy, Technology people development across the business
  • To support and enable the programme management team in delivery of all change work
  • To embed a mindset of risk management across all services and to ensure that all aspects of risk is appropriately managed and mitigated
  • Support the development of appropriate governance and process to drive all aspects of Technology forward
  • To ensure that all aspects of Infrastructure services are designed and run to meet architecture standards which include scalable, efficient, resilient by design
  • To establish appropriate measurements across all aspects of infrastructure (people, tech and governance) to drive continuous improvement
  • To engage with all areas of the business on infrastructure service and performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years financial services experience
  • Strong people manager
  • Managed an infrastructure team within a financial services environment
  • Experience establishing and delivering automated monitoring and response environments
  • Experience managing and delivering change into all aspects of on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure services – Network, voice, server, OS, virtual, database, app delivery, windows/linux OS, Azure, 365, firewalls, etc.
  • Experience delivering security change work – PAM, Perimeter controls, zero trust, IPS, XDR services, etc.
  • Ability to interact confidently at all levels
  • Comfortable being hands on whilst having managerial oversight
