Job Description

Viant’s Travel business is already a major success, with deep adoption across Travel, Tourism, and hospitality. We are now seeking a Head of Industry, Travel to further accelerate our growth in this category by scaling brand-direct demand, expanding agency adoption, and strengthening our travel targeting and measurement solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Scale Viant’s already-successful Travel business by expanding direct brand relationships in tourism, travel, and hospitality
  • Establish Viant as the premier programmatic solution for the category by evangelizing our travel targeting, measurement, and identity solutions
  • Drive greater industry awareness through thought leadership, conference participation, and client education
  • Own and grow brand-direct demand while also supporting the core sales team in driving agency adoption across the Travel category
  • Develop and execute a brand-first GTM strategy that ensures Viant is embedded in key tourism and hospitality marketing budgets
  • Partner with agency teams to help them navigate the evolving Travel programmatic landscape and ensure Viant is the platform of choice
  • Hire, train, and scale a team of Travel-focused sellers to drive continued adoption
  • Define success metrics and manage performance to ensure Viant continues to outpace the market in Travel programmatic growth
  • Serve as the executive face of Viant’s Travel business, representing the company at industry events and in high-stakes client meetings
  • Work closely with Product teams to develop new innovative Travel ad products and further enhance Viant’s travel targeting, identity resolution, develop new ad products and measurement capabilities
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify key data, measurement, and supply partnerships that strengthen Viant’s Travel offering
  • Ensure Viant’s measurement solutions align with tourism and travel marketing objectives and help clients prove ROI

Requirements

  • 15+ years of advertising experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years in Travel marketing (brand-direct, agency, or vendor side experience)
  • Expertise in tourism and hospitality marketing
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising (CTV, Streaming Audio, Online Video, Display, DOOH, and Mobile)
  • Proven track record of building brand-direct relationships and scaling programmatic adoption in Travel
  • Experience hiring and leading high-performing GTM teams in adtech, programmatic, or digital media
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, business development, and marketing teams
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
