Job Description

The Head of Indirect Tax will lead our global indirect tax agenda. In this strategic role, you will shape the Group’s VAT strategy, secure strong governance, and enable efficient, scalable processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and develop Karo’s global VAT strategy and VAT processes
  • Drive VAT governance, policies, automation and process standardization as well as VAT risk control across the Group
  • Provide hands on expertise across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal, Commercial and Corporate Management
  • Oversee VAT compliance reporting and support local finance teams
  • Advise on complex transactions, business restructurings and supply chain flows
  • Key stakeholder in M&A including lead VAT-related integrations of new acquisitions
  • Manage interactions with tax authorities and external advisors
  • Provide training and act as the Group’s internal expert on indirect tax

Requirements

  • Experienced VAT professional with strong technical expertise

  • Strong background in indirect tax management and global VAT frameworks (5+ years) from an international consultancy firm or large international company
