Lead the India marketing as an individual contributor initially and set our marketing strategy while being hands-on and developing a strong, trusted relationship by working hand-in-hand with sales teams to drive successful user outcomes. The Head of India will lead the field marketing function and will set and execute a marketing strategy that delivers high-quality leads, sales pipeline, and ultimately revenue. You will initially be an individual contributor and will have the opportunity to establish the marketing function for the region at Stripe. Longer term this role will require the candidate to build, develop and lead a marketing team as the business grows in India.
Job Responsibility:
Lead marketing for India across customer segments with a cross-border focus, ensuring strong coordination with sales leadership. Customer segments include enterprise, digital native, software platforms, and startups
Own key business and revenue metrics across the sales funnel (pipeline), focusing on customer growth and retention
Develop strong, trusted relationships with the India sales teams, working closely with sales leadership and sales development to jointly grow the pipeline
Partner with Asia Pacific demand generation and India product marketing to refine targeting and segmentation, and to identify, scope, and produce or localize compelling content, marketing assets, and programs to drive demand
Partner with Communications to increase awareness and consideration and drive Stripe thought leadership and brand differentiation in the India market
Define and execute full-funnel marketing plans, including digital marketing, demand generation campaigns, sales prospecting programs, ABM, virtual and in-person field events, and third-party tradeshows and conferences
Track, measure, and communicate program results, continually optimizing for efficiency and scale, and seek to generate new global best practices through experimental efforts
Be creative in finding new ways to educate a diverse range of personas about the value Stripe brings to businesses
Requirements:
8+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience leading an India marketing function across multiple customer segments, including specific experience in cross-border content, localization, content marketing, event management, partnership marketing, and multi-touch campaigns to generate demand
3-5 years of team management experience
Proven track record in defining and executing India B2B marketing strategies that achieve funnel metrics and KPIs
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex topics simply
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills across functions
Strong experience partnering with Sales teams on joint planning, execution, and disciplined lead follow-up
Proven track record as a Indian or Asia Pacific leader, collaborating with global marketing teams to drive growth in field marketing, digital channel programs, executive programs, and partner initiatives
Experience scaling through and/or leveraging agency, media, and other partnerships along with contractor resources
Understanding and/or experience with CRM, account-based marketing, and email marketing tactics and technology
