Permanent opportunity supporting our Transport team. Provide senior HSE leadership for the Transport business, drive strategy, compliance and risk management, influence safety leadership, engage key stakeholders, and lead the HSE team to improve performance and outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Championing and role modelling the Service Stream Safety Value and HSE Leadership Model, embedding safety leadership programs and a proactive, people‑centred HSE culture across Transport
Leading HSE performance by influencing proactive risk management, enabling open reporting and safe decision‑making, and monitoring HSE KPIs to drive improved outcomes
Building and leading a high‑performing HSE team while contributing to the development and execution of Group and Business Unit HSE strategy and improvement plans
Supporting the development and implementation of an integrated Group HSE framework to enable risk management, legal compliance and effective duty of care across Transport
Overseeing Workers Compensation and Injury Management, including Return to Work programs, outsourced provider management, insurer engagement and premium negotiation
Providing strategic HSE advice to senior Transport leaders by identifying trends, issues and actions to drive sustainable performance improvement, while balancing safety, operational and commercial priorities
Enable leaders and employees to understand and meet their HSE obligations, fostering accountability, open consultation and effective communication across all stakeholders
Overseeing HSE legal compliance by maintaining registers and reviewing HSE documentation to meet legislative and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
Experience operating at mid-senior management level within an asset/facilities management, infrastructure O&M or similar services environment
Tertiary qualification in Safety, Business Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field
Advanced Diploma of WHS or equivalent
Qualifications in Incident Investigations - preferably ICAM Lead Investigator
Lead Auditor certification in either WHS, Environment or Quality
