This leader will manage a 30+ person organization spanning North America and Asia, including Operations Program Management, Product Quality Management, Material Management, and Product Lifecycle Management. The role is central to ensuring our products are built to the highest standards — from new product introduction through sustaining — and requires strong collaboration with Engineering, SDM, and manufacturing partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality hardware at global scale.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead a global team of 30+ across Operations Program Management, Product Quality Management, Material Management, and Product Lifecycle Management, driving operational excellence across new product introduction and sustaining production
  • Develop and execute a factory operations strategy that ensures product quality, supply continuity, and manufacturing scalability for all Block hardware products across the Square, CashApp, Bitkey, and Proto brands
  • Partner closely with Engineering, SDM, and manufacturing partners to establish and maintain robust manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and material procurement strategies
  • Oversee production readiness, factory builds, and quality performance metrics, driving continuous improvement in yield, cost, and reliability
  • Ensure strong change management discipline and documentation compliance across all hardware programs in NPI and sustaining phases
  • Collaborate with Finance, Business Systems, and Supply Chain partners to improve factory operations tools, processes, and reporting infrastructure
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global team that operates with clarity, accountability, and collaboration across functions and regions

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and operations work
  • Experience leading large teams
  • Experience in both established businesses and building from scratch in smaller (preferably startup) environments

What we offer

  • Remote work
  • Medical insurance
  • Flexible time off
  • Retirement savings plans
  • Modern family planning
