Job Description:

The Head of Global India Strategy plays a critical role in driving growth among the wealthiest Indian and non-resident Indian clients. This includes creating strategies, managing cross-border solutions, business development, and building a high-performing team to deliver Citi’s world-class services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Defining and executing the regional strategy for the Global Indian client segment
  • Building the team to support the strategy
  • Representing the strategy to relevant stakeholders and partners
  • Supporting the delivery of 'One Citi' by connecting clients to the full breadth of Citi’s global offering
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, sources of wealth, and family dynamics to support bankers
  • Supporting client onboarding and ongoing relationship management
  • Partnering with Market Executives and Bankers to manage the prospect pipeline, track business activity, and ensure timely progression of client opportunities
  • Coordinating cross-border engagement and solution delivery
  • Developing tailored client solutions across investments, financing, wealth planning, and risk management
  • Promoting knowledge sharing and development of junior team members
  • Supporting strategic hiring plans

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of serving this client community as a relationship manager
  • Proven experience in UHNW Private Banking or the institutional / corporate banking market, specifically covering the Indian / non-resident Indian market
  • Demonstrated track record in relationship acquisition
  • Proven success in building a new business, prospecting for new clients and business, identifying new business opportunities and closing transactions
  • Extensive experience in building and managing high-performing teams
  • Experience in working on teams and influencing diverse resources and stakeholders

  • Proven success in business development, with a strong track record of driving growth and cultivating high-value client relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian regulatory landscape, with the ability to navigate complex cross-border frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Creative and forward-thinking, with the ability to develop innovative client solutions and strategies
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with strong multitasking skills and the ability to effectively prioritise in fast-paced environments
  • Strong risk and compliance awareness, ensuring all activities align with regulatory standards and internal policies
