Job Description

Good credit experience, as well as knowledge of the Banks and non-Banks clients preferably with good understanding of Islamic banking.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate with Treasury, GTB (Global Transactions Banking) and market risk for related business issues
  • Providing advisory on Trade Finance products for corporate clients
  • Leading the FI Team with strong commercial drive to be able to originate business and deliver high business results
  • Managing the FI Team to Keep excellent personal relationships with our banks and non-banks FI customers, in addition to the bank’s correspondents’ network
  • Reviewing credit application forms for the banks & countries (CAF & CLAF) before being submitted
  • Managing correspondents’ relations and establishing network to facilitate operations (Nostro, FX, MM, LCs & LGs) with diversifying the Bank's risks through opening new channels in different geographical regions of the world
  • Supervising the Team in managing the correspondents vostro accounts and increasing the Counter Guarantees
  • Arrange meetings with our current and prospect banks correspondents to maintain strong banking relations
  • Leading the Team in Negotiation with correspondent banks to obtain credit limits, and ensure sufficient limits assigned by them to accommodate the trade finance transactions and treasury needs
  • Leading the FI Team in the negotiation of rebate agreements, master participation agreements and terms & conditions provided by correspondents to ensure our bank’s benefits
  • Granting and control credit limits for Banks and countries, monitoring Bank’s and countries lines to ensure proper utilization along with applying Bank’s policies and CBE regulations
  • Monitoring and ensure receiving rebate and commissions from our bank’s correspondents
  • Initiating new relationships with the exchange companies to deal in FX and remittances in order to increase the bank’s FCY resources and FX income
  • Handling with the compliance and the legal departments to ensure that the agreements with our correspondents are complying with our bank’s policy and the CBE regulations
  • Setting the goals/objectives of the division according to the bank’s strategy and budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance or Business from a reputable university
  • Minimum 20 years of banking experience with at least the last 10 years in FI Department
  • Excellent command of English
  • Good knowledge of Cash Management & Trade products, and significant client experience with FI banks and non-banks clients
  • Highly proficient for Microsoft package (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)
  • Proven dedication to excellence, leadership qualities and a flexible, creative, innovative personality
  • Superior interpretive and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Any Master's degree in the same fields is an asset
  • Being Certificate in Banking Credit & Risk Management (Credit Course) is an advantage
  • Any other language is an additional asset
