Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance to join Eat Work Art. We are seeking a bright, commercially minded, fully qualified accountant to join us, overseeing all finance and commercial matters across the business. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, and is suited to someone with strong senior management experience. You’ll lead a small but capable finance team and play a key role in financial planning, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making during a pivotal time of growth for the company.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the finance function and provide leadership to a small finance team
Manage the finance department, including performance development, workflow planning, and supporting team members in their growth
Prepare annual statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries
Lead the production of monthly management accounts and deliver meaningful financial insights to internal and external stakeholders
Drive long-term financial planning, including both short- and long-term cash flow forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process and manage ongoing budget tracking and departmental reviews
Provide high-level financial guidance on VAT, asset management, and compliance matters
Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to deliver strategic commercial advice
Liaise with brokers and external partners on financing and funding requirements

Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS)
Strong technical proficiency in Excel
Experience using Sage 200 or similar finance/ERP systems
Hands-on leadership style with prior senior management experience
Proven ability to work within or lead small finance teams
Commercially aware, with sound judgement and strategic thinking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
