You’ll oversee reporting, compliance and financial operations, ensuring the business always has full visibility of its financial position. This role balances leadership, operational finance and strategic contribution. Your work will support sound decision-making across the business and help maintain a strong, consistent financial foundation as Procreate continues to grow.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support the Finance team, providing clear direction, guidance and day-to-day operational oversight
  • Contribute to a consistent Procreate culture and foster a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with business needs
  • Deliver monthly reporting against budget and provide insight to support decision-making
  • Forecast revenue by product and accurately track performance against targets
  • Prepare multiple-entity financial statements and consolidated annual reports
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax obligations and reporting standards
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, the ATO, ASIC and banking partners
  • Approve Accounts Payable payments and oversee cashflow and banking activities
  • Troubleshoot accounting and taxation issues, identify potential financial risks, and presenting solutions where required
  • Oversee financial systems (including Xero) to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost management and process improvement
  • Support the development and delivery of the annual budget in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain internal financial policies, controls and governance frameworks
  • Ensure financial processes align with audit requirements and best practice standards
  • Support teams across the business to understand and adhere to financial policies and processes

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, with CA or CPA certification and up-to-date CPD
  • Significant experience in a financial leadership role within a business environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory and consolidated reporting
  • A solid understanding of Australian taxation rules and regulatory requirements

  • Proficiency with financial systems including Xero, and strong Excel capability
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A structured, methodical approach to problem solving and financial management

Nice to have

  • Experience with payroll systems such as Keypay and reporting tools such as Spotlight
  • Experience working in a growing technology or product-led business

  • Group consolidation, statutory reporting, and ATO experience in the Australian context
