Job Description

We are seeking a 'Head of Finance and Commerce' for an innovative start-up in the personal care sector that we are advising.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial statements and management reports
  • Coordinating weekly progress meetings and ensuring transparency in financial data and business performance
  • Establishing, systematizing, and continuously improving accounting and financial processes
  • Preparing strategic reports, analyses, and presentations directly requested by the CEO
  • Managing B2C inventory processes and coordinating financial and operational reporting flows
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow to support sustainable business growth
  • Supporting investor relations processes, including pitch deck preparation and due diligence activities
  • Developing budgets, financial forecasts, and expense optimization strategies aligned with commercial objectives
  • Providing financial insights that contribute to both operational excellence and strategic decision-making
  • Acting as a bridge between finance and commercial functions to ensure business objectives are effectively achieved

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, or business operations
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and accounting processes
  • Experience in building and improving financial systems and operational workflows
  • Previous involvement in investor relations, pitch deck preparation, and due diligence processes is highly preferred
  • Ability to translate financial insights into business and commercial decisions
  • Experience in B2C operations, inventory management, or retail/e-commerce environments is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
