Job Description

King’s College School, Murcia is seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of EYFS / EYFS Teacher to lead and develop our Early Years provision from August 2026. The successful candidate will combine outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership to ensure the highest standards of care, learning and development across the EYFS.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, manage and develop the EYFS phase in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences in the EYFS classroom
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress to ensure strong learning outcomes
  • Support, mentor and line-manage EYFS staff
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider school community
  • Contribute to whole-school development and leadership initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or recognised Early Years teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching within the EYFS
  • Experience in a leadership or coordination role within Early Years
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practice
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to high standards of safeguarding and child wellbeing
