As London Museum prepares to open its landmark new home this November, the Head of Commercial Event Sales will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of hospitality, events, and client experience across both London Museum and London Museum Docklands. Leading the Green & Fortune events sales team, you will drive commercial performance, inspire a high-performing team, and oversee the successful conversion, planning, and delivery of exceptional events that showcase the very best of London hospitality. This role goes far beyond traditional event sales. It is an opportunity to influence strategy, build long-term client partnerships, shape a growing commercial operation, and create experiences that become defining moments for clients and guests alike. Job Responsibility
Lead the commercial event sales function across London Museum and London Museum Docklands
Drive ambitious revenue and profitability targets through strong sales leadership
Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers and stakeholders
Provide senior oversight of event planning and delivery
Lead key client engagement activity including site visits, tastings, showcases, networking events and hospitality experiences
Act as a senior point of contact for key and high-profile enquiries
Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing events sales team
Lead recruitment, onboarding and development of the growing team
Maintain strong oversight of CRM systems, pipeline management, reporting and commercial forecasting
Ensure contracts, event documentation and operational communication are consistently accurate and professionally managed
Maintain strong market awareness, identifying trends, competitor activity and new commercial opportunities
Ensure full compliance with company procedures, financial controls and data protection requirements
Requirements
A proven leader within events, hospitality, catering, or venue sales
Commercially astute with a strong understanding of revenue generation and client strategy
A confident relationship-builder with excellent communication and influencing skills
Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and operational excellence
