Equities onshore technology team provides comprehensive tech solutions that support Citi India Equites business to drive growth and create value for clients, while fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. Through strategic investments, cutting-edge technology, and close collaboration with global team, the onshore technology team plays critical role in supporting the business growth in India.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to support the Equities India Business
  • Navigate complex tech landscapes, end to end technology stack and align it with global standards and meet local regulatory requirements
  • Enhancing onshore operations
  • Good understanding of the equity and equity derivatives markets
  • Should know the nuances of various types of trading algorithms used by sell side brokers (Execution Algos as well Arbitrage Algos)
  • Should keep an eye on the emerging trends in the technology landscape
  • Understand the SDLC lifecycle well
  • Have strong understanding of the Exchange (BSE/NSE) IT Infrastructure and the various components that comes into play
  • Knowledge of the exchange co-location architecture
  • Should have implemented the SEBI Cyber Security Framework and have a good understanding of the regulations around it
  • Good understanding of risks involved in any trading infrastructure including how the risk management layer of various trading systems work
  • Should have a forward looking approach towards the capacity planning and the architecture of the overall infrastructure
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team which includes a decent sized development as well as infrastructure team
  • Ability to think out of the box solutions during a crisis situation
  • Liaise with vendors and exchanges on a regular basis
  • Build strong relationships with the business and corporate functions, understand commercial goals and risk control requirements, and design technology solutions fit India’s securities markets and regulatory environment

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the India securities markets and business products
  • Experience in directly facing local exchanges, regulators, and external audit
  • Fulfilment of all necessary regulatory licenses and requirements (i.e., SEBI, RBI, and other securities regulators)
  • At least 10 years of experience in information technology with hands-on development experience in equity trading or equivalent front office trading systems
  • Track records of managing complex programs and collaborating with global teams
  • Strong reasoning, influencing skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Proven experience in developing integrated solutions that combine in-house applications with third-party vendor products
  • Experience in managing a team and maintaining strong vendor relationships
  • Experience in managing local exchange or regulatory requirements and inquiries in association with Equity Technology systems
