Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Head of Environment, Health & Safety Centers of Excellence (f/m) to join our Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Department based in Toulouse, France. The Ho EHS CoE reports directly to the Company Head of EHS and is a member of the EHS Leadership team. Operating in a complex, transnational matrix environment, the role acts as a key strategic partner to executive leadership, operations, HR and external stakeholders, contributing directly to operational excellence, employee wellbeing and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the Compliance Authority for all CoE related matters
Lead, develop and inspire the Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Operational Environment Technical Committees, Communities of Practices and associated networks across the company, focusing on collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Design, develop, promote and maintain EHS standards and methodologies for the Company, in line with the management systems and our continuous improvement, innovation and high standards ambition, across all countries and divisions
Define and deploy the EHS strategy and management for the CoEs, in line with the EHS governance, company objectives and priorities
Anticipate and lead the response to changes in regulatory requirements for EHS, as well as the needs raised by new and emerging risks and opportunities
Lead the Company Incident Review Panel, in line with the EHS governance to monitor incident data quality and accuracy to ensure consistency and harmonisation
Drive the provision of advice and expertise to functions, projects and stakeholders to ensure appropriate Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health (including Mental Health) and Operational Environment risk management
Manage Health & Safety Learning and Competence, defining strategy, competence and learning paths, and standardising and digitising where possible
Requirements:
Robust leadership capabilities and a proven track record on capability to influence, align and engage senior internal and external stakeholders
Global mindset and ability to work across cultures, countries and associated regulatory frameworks and constraints
Ability to define long term EHS strategies aligned with business and industrial objectives
Technical credibility: very good understanding of EHS domains (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, including mental health, and Operational Environment)
Academic background in a relevant EHS discipline
Relevant experience in transnational & operational/industrial environments is mandatory
Knowledge of civil litigation and enterprise risk management
Project management skills in complex matrix organisations
Fluent in English
