As Head of Engineering, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our CEO to be a key pillar of our technical strategy, ensuring the quality and success of cozycozy’s IT projects. Your mission will be to build a strong technological culture within the company, leading the IT team towards excellence, ensuring the reliability of our platform, and integrating emerging AI technologies to support our growth. You’ll be part of an international team (with 12 nationalities represented) that’s passionate about travel and innovation. Your role will be structured across several key areas: Leadership, Project Management, Software Development & System Architecture and Processes & Security. You’ll be a bridge between Tech/Engineering and the wider organization, working closely with our teams ensuring that every decision is informed by data and aligned with our strategic goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing and implementing our technical strategy and roadmap
  • Establishing a strong tech culture that promotes innovation and best practices within the IT team
  • Recruiting and leading the software engineering team
  • Developing and managing the technical roadmap in collaboration with product and business teams and project managers
  • Managing technical projects while ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and budget
  • Allocating necessary resources and ensuring timelines are met
  • Overseeing our global backend and frontend development
  • Leading rigorous code reviews to ensure software quality and performance
  • Participating in system architecture decisions to support the company's current and future needs

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
  • Experience in overseeing technical teams or individuals as a team lead or manager
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of backend and frontend technologies, especially Node.js, Angular, and TypeScript
  • Experience with databases [MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL]
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools like Gitlab and Jenkins
  • Navigate system architecture management and scalable infrastructures with ease
  • Experienced in AI and familiar with machine learning technologies
  • Comfortable managing stakeholders and building strong cross-team relationships
  • Excellent communicator and team player with proven collaborative skills
  • Comfortable in fast paced environments that are constantly evolving

  • French is a strong plus
  • A previous experience in a startup or scale-up environment would be a plus
