Summary of the position: The Head of Engineering (India), will be responsible for leading PMC’s India based engineering department, guiding the successful delivery of all customer software services & projects. The role requires strong leadership skills and technical knowhow, leading a diverse range of software projects & dedicated service teams. Managing a talented team of delivery managers, you will ensure that through proactive planning, the team are set up to deliver current and future customer requirements across the range of Engineering propositions – Design & Architecture, Development, Test and Automation. You will drive delivery performance and standards across all PMC’s Engineering Customers, working with your leadership team to ensure effective service set-up & transition, project governance & assurance, and customer satisfaction. You will also support in the driving of incremental new business and in the management of customer commercial performance.
Job Responsibility:

Managing a talented team of delivery managers to ensure proactive planning for current and future customer requirements
Driving delivery performance and standards across all Engineering Customers, working with leadership team to ensure effective service set-up & transition, project governance & assurance, and customer satisfaction
Supporting in driving incremental new business and managing customer commercial performance
Providing strong technical and on-floor leadership & coaching to a team of project and dedicated service leaders
Contributing to and implementing the strategic plan for engineering, including future proposition, technical initiative & learning
Working with Service Design and Mobilisation to ensure all new customer engagements are planned and successfully delivered
Leading best practices, quality, standards, measurements (KPIs), ISO Compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering deliveries
Working with Resourcing and Planning team to schedule and utilise engineering talent for strong delivery performance
Ensuring robust plan for recruitment, retention and skills development to support growth plans
Leading a culture of innovation and collaboration across Engineering teams and wider PMC business units
Acting as escalation for resolution of customer specific service delivery issues
Ensuring strong accountability and drive of the Continual Services Improvement Plan (CSIP)
Serving as liaison between engineering teams and senior management
Assisting stakeholders including Sales & Marketing teams during internal & external customer pre-sales meetings
Requirements:
An inspirational leader and role model, with strong experience leading large & multiskilled engineering teams
Proven experience and ability to provide a steer on how to apply engineering mindset to large number of delivery workstreams
Experience in building and scaling service delivery teams (circa 200 to 400 member teams)
Passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Extensive experience in managing complex IT solutions delivery to the highest standard
Experience of service definition and mobilisation
Commercially aware, with a good understanding of contractual requirements and obligations
Experience in setting, improving and attaining service standards
Customer credible and able to engage with customer stakeholders at all levels
