Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop the engineering organization through your direct reports
Own and evolve the technical direction and architecture across the e-commerce ecosystem
Ensure scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable systems across markets and platforms
Drive technical excellence and high standards in engineering delivery and quality
Collaborate closely with Product and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical execution
Balance trade-offs between speed, cost, risk, stability and long-term sustainability
Build a scalable organization with strong leadership, structure and capabilities for future growth
Contribute as part of the Tech management team to overall technology strategy and direction
Requirements:
Proven senior leadership experience in leading and scaling engineering organizations, either through other managers or directly, regardless of specific title
Experience driving impact in complex, business-critical digital products or platforms with high transaction volumes and strong requirements on scalability, availability, reliability, and security. Experience from transaction-heavy B2C environments is especially valued (e.g. e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or similar)
A solid technical foundation, with the ability to engage credibly in high-level architectural discussions, system design decisions, and technology trade-offs
A strong understanding of how technical decisions influence business outcomes, customer experience, and organizational effectiveness
A clear, authentic leadership approach with the ability to build trust, alignment, and strong collaboration across teams and functions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear and relevant insights for non-technical stakeholders
