Job Responsibility:
Technical Leadership: Act as the final authority on all electrical design matters, ensuring full compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), alongside relevant CIBSE and BSRIA guidance
Strategic Oversight: Shape and develop the electrical engineering function, setting standards, processes, and best practice across the business
System Integration: Oversee the coordination and integration of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting controls, fire detection, and security within complex building environments
Operational Delivery: Ensure all electrical packages are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget, while maintaining the highest technical standards
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements:
A strong background in electrical engineering within the Building Services / MEP sector
Previous experience in a senior leadership or managerial role, or a proven track record as an Electrical Engineering Manager ready to step up
Degree-level education in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
Expert knowledge of UK Building Regulations, as well as the Electricity at Work Regulations
The ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive performance across complex projects
