Digital capability is the critical enabler of UI’s next phase of growth – powering a superb consumer and customer experience alongside world-class operational excellence. As Chief Digital Officer, you will own the digital, data, and AI agenda end-to-end. You will set the strategy, build the team, and deliver measurable business outcomes across five interconnected pillars: Marketing Excellence, Customer Experience, Connected Planning, Operational Excellence, and Employee Experience.
Job Responsibility:
Define and own the multi-year digital, data, and AI strategy aligned to UI’s commercial plan
Manage the digital investment portfolio, balancing quick wins with platform bets
Establish the AI Hub in Singapore as a centre of excellence for applied AI and advanced analytics
Lead UI’s transition to SAP S/4HANA, designing fit-for-purpose ERP capabilities for a complex, cross-border B2B operation
Rationalise and integrate the technology landscape across CRM (Salesforce), planning (Anaplan/Kinaxis), data (Databricks), and business intelligence tools
Build a scalable data architecture – from ingestion and integration to governance and self-service consumption
Drive AI adoption across the value chain: demand forecasting, pricing, anomaly detection, and generative AI for productivity
Champion data governance, quality, and compliance across all markets
Stand up a lean, high-velocity delivery framework (Agile) with clear release cadence and cost discipline
Manage vendor and delivery partner relationships, holding third parties to outcomes rather than effort
Embed cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance into every initiative
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing digital team with a culture of experimentation and continuous learning
Serve as the translation layer between technical and commercial stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and aligned priorities
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years in senior digital, data, or technology leadership roles
FMCG or cross-border B2B experience strongly preferred
Proven track record of owning a digital P&L, building teams from scratch, and delivering enterprise-scale transformation
Deep hands-on fluency in modern data platforms (Databricks, data lake architectures), CRM (Salesforce), and Microsoft Power Platform. ERP (SAP S/4HANA), and AI/ML
Experience leading Agile delivery at scale with third-party system integrators
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, analytics, or a related field
MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
Strong understanding of FMCG value chains: marketing, order-to-cash, finance, and supply chain
Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations (PDPA, GDPR), and compliance frameworks relevant to a multi-market operation
Founder’s mentality – comfortable operating with ambiguity, moving fast, and making decisions with imperfect information
Resilience and grit – able to sustain high performance under uncertainty and competing priorities
