Job Description

About the Role: We’re looking for a Head of Developer Relations to help make Wasmer one of the most respected and recognizable developer platforms in the world. This is not a traditional marketing role. It is a technical, creative, and highly leveraged role for someone who loves building, teaching, writing, speaking, and helping developers discover new possibilities. You will work closely with the CEO and the rest of the team to shape how Wasmer is understood across the ecosystem. You will turn product capabilities into clear narratives, great examples, memorable demos, strong technical content, and developer trust. You should care deeply about craft: the quality of examples, the clarity of docs, the sharpness of a launch post, the polish of a demo, the credibility of a conference talk, and the feeling a developer gets the first time they try a product. If you are the kind of person who wants to help define a category, inspire developers, and make ambitious technology accessible and exciting, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with the CEO on Wasmer’s external technical presence and developer narrative
  • Create technical content that developers genuinely want to read, watch, share, and build from
  • Build and maintain examples, starter projects, demos, and educational materials that showcase real use cases
  • Improve docs, onboarding flows, and sample code to make Wasmer easier to learn and adopt
  • Organize and support conference talks, meetups, workshops, livestreams, and other developer-facing events
  • Represent Wasmer publicly online and in person across developer communities
  • Publish blog posts, launch content, tutorials, demos, and social content around Wasmer and the broader WebAssembly ecosystem
  • Identify compelling use cases and turn them into clear stories that help developers understand why Wasmer matters
  • Gather feedback from developers and bring product, documentation, and ecosystem insights back to the team
  • Help increase Wasmer’s visibility, credibility, and adoption across the internet

Requirements

  • Strong engineering skills and the ability to build credible technical demos and examples
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience creating technical content such as articles, tutorials, docs, demos, talks, videos, workshops, or open-source projects
  • Strong product taste and a sharp sense for what makes developer tools exciting, understandable, and trustworthy
  • Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly and precisely
  • Comfort speaking publicly and engaging with developers online and in person
  • A self-driven, proactive attitude and the ability to operate with high ownership
  • Comfort working across engineering, product, community, and content
  • Based in CET timezone or within ±2h

Nice to have

  • Experience in Developer Relations, Developer Education, Developer Experience, technical writing, or developer marketing
  • Experience with WebAssembly, cloud infrastructure, edge computing, runtimes, compilers, or developer tools
  • Strong open-source background
  • Experience growing a technical audience through blogs, social media, talks, videos, or community work
  • Strong intuition for developer onboarding, docs, examples, and product storytelling
  • Experience organizing events, conference presence, or community programs
  • Experience shipping content and code around launches

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and stock options
  • Generous vacation policy
  • Flexible and remote work policies
  • Monthly fitness stipend
  • Monthly stipend for open-source contributions
  • Economic support for skills development, continuous learning, and attending conferences
