Are you an enthusiastic and experienced academic with a passion for leading the development of the next generation of prescribing pharmacists working in clinical practice? We are expanding our staffing base in growth areas and are looking for a colleague with research experience to lead the Department of Pharmacy Practice within the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the Department of Pharmacy Practice within the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences
  • Continued development of various professional programmes within the school, currently centring on the MPharm and Pharmacist Independent Prescribing courses
  • Lead colleagues to ensure: the delivery of high-quality teaching
  • development and delivery of innovative learning and assessment to achieve excellent student experience and outcomes, and
  • the development of research across the department, working with colleagues to enhance research-informed teaching associated within the pharmacy subject area

Requirements:

  • GPhC registered pharmacist with research development experience
  • Ideally, in possession of a postgraduate diploma or above in clinical pharmacy or equivalent and/or a GPhC accredited independent prescribing qualification (or nearing completion of)
  • Excellent and collegiate leadership style to develop a strong team to enhance research-informed teaching
