Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join the team at Oasis Academy Sholing in September 2026 or January 2027. We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dynamic Head of Music to lead the continued development of our music curriculum and wider extra-curricular provision. We are ambitious about raising the profile of music and increasing participation across the academy. This role includes responsibility for organising and developing our extra-curricular music opportunities, including the coordination of peripatetic music teachers, alongside delivering a high-quality and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. Leading and developing our KS4 BTEC students further. The successful candidate will play a key role within our collaborative Creative Arts Team, working closely with colleagues in dance, drama and art to contribute to and lead on the musical elements of school productions and performances, providing enriching opportunities for students to showcase their talents and engage with the arts beyond the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and creative leader to take on a small department, with the autonomy to shape and grow the subject, broaden student participation and strengthen the impact of music across the school.
