Job Description

You will work as part of a team for a successful IDNO company. Our client has worked with many DNO’s to complete major projects throughout the multi utility sector. The company has many contracts that have expanded their multi million pound business across the UK. As the Senior Project Lead, you will report to the Management Team and play an integral part in ensuring that projects are built to the clients specification. You will be responsible for supporting the team and other Project Leads within the company. You will also be required to travel to multiple sites and liaise with ICPs on the completion and standards of projects. At times you will have to challenge the team on the safety and authorisation of team members to comply with the company’s health and safety procedures. The projects will be mainly focused on the construction of 11kV or 33kV substations, so familiarity with similar projects is essential.

Job Responsibility

  • Support Project Leads in managing projects
  • Travel between various project sites and assess that the project is built to specification and the company’s health and safety procedures
  • Read design diagrams and translate them for the team to follow
  • Report to the Management teams with reports on project progress, costs and targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with ICP’s and contractors

Requirements

  • Previous Project Management experience
  • 11kV or 33kV substation experience
  • SAP or Senior Authorised Person qualification
  • HNC in electrical engineering

  • Worked for a DNO / ICP previously
