Job Responsibility

  • Set the direction for corporate security across Vodafone, building and maintaining a sector leading strategy
  • Lead all local corporate security operations end to end
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Represent Vodafone externally with regulators, government bodies and law enforcement
  • Safeguard people, customers, infrastructure and assets
  • Lead the response to major incidents and crises
  • Drive continuous improvement across security operations
  • Strengthen investigations capability
  • Oversee supplier security

  • Build and lead a high performing Corporate Security team

Requirements

  • An experienced senior leader with a strong track record in operational security, ideally within complex or regulated environments
  • A confident communicator who can influence at all levels, including executive stakeholders and external bodies such as regulators and law enforcement
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, manage risk, and make balanced decisions during incidents or crisis situations
  • Demonstrated experience building, leading and developing high performing, inclusive teams
  • A track record of driving change, simplifying processes and introducing innovation or automation in operational environments
  • Strong understanding of security governance, controls, audits and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in investigations and fraud prevention frameworks, with the ability to translate insight into practical business recommendations
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to align security investment to risk appetite and business priorities
  • Experience in telecommunications or a similar industry is helpful, but not essential
  • A pragmatic, solutions focused mindset — Must be able to think outside the box rather than just tick the box
  • Comfortable operating in a role that includes senior stakeholder engagement, regular executive reporting, and participation in crisis activity, including on call responsibilities

Experience in telecommunications or a similar industry is helpful, but not essential
