Realta Fusion is seeking a Head of Corporate Development to work closely with the CEO on the company’s fundraising and capitalization strategy and to manage investor relations. This role is critical to supporting Realta Fusion’s growth as we advance innovative fusion energy technology toward commercialization. The Head of Corporate Development will play a central role in shaping and executing capital-raising initiatives, cultivating relationships with current and prospective investors, and communicating the company’s vision, progress, and financial strategy to the investment community.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with the CEO to develop and execute fundraising strategies across multiple capital sources, including venture capital, strategic investors, government programs, and other non-dilutive funding
Lead preparation for fundraising efforts, including pitch materials, data rooms, financial narratives, and due diligence processes
Support negotiations related to financing transactions, term sheets, and investment structures
Track and analyze market trends, investor sentiment, and comparable financings to inform capitalization strategy
Serve as a key point of contact for existing and prospective investors
Represent Realta at key industry events when the CEO is not available
present or speak on panels at conferences
Manage ongoing investor communications, including updates, presentations, and reporting
Coordinate investor meetings, site visits, and technical briefings in collaboration with the CEO and leadership team
Ensure consistent, accurate, and compelling messaging around company milestones, strategy, and performance
Support corporate strategy initiatives related to growth, partnerships, and long-term financial planning
Collaborate with finance, legal, and technical teams to align fundraising efforts with company objectives
Assist with board materials, investor presentations, and strategic planning discussions
Help build scalable internal processes for investor relations and corporate development activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, finance, business, economics, or a related field
7+ years of experience in venture capital-backed start-ups, venture capital, private equity, or a related role
Demonstrated experience supporting or leading fundraising efforts for technology or growth-stage companies
Strong understanding of capitalization structures, term sheets, and investor expectations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts for diverse audiences
Nice to have:
Experience in deep tech, energy, climate tech, or advanced science-based startups
Prior experience working directly with founders or executive leadership
MBA or advanced degree
Familiarity with government or non-dilutive funding mechanisms
