Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Head of Contracting in Greece to lead and develop a high-performing contracting team across one of our key markets. This strategic role combines hands-on hotel contracting with people leadership and is instrumental in driving revenue growth, optimizing regional performance, and delivering best-in-class partnerships with suppliers. The successful candidate will foster a culture of excellence, innovation and accountability, ensuring both personal and team targets are met while strengthening the company’s hotel portfolio in Greece.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a team/unit within the specified region comprising of Contracts Managers and Product Managers
  • Ensure the team deliver results and achieve targets in accordance with departmental and company KPI’s and objectives
  • Build, grow and nurture Best in class team/unit
  • Monitor and evaluate the region’s performance against targets by identifying trends and opportunities
  • Contract a personal hotel portfolio
  • secure best possible rates, conditions, and inventory with suppliers, achieve targets in a specified number of hotels within the designated area of responsibility
  • Undertake projects as required on behalf of the Contracting arm of the Purchasing Dept
  • Lead and manage the unit, ensuring all team members achieve company KPI’s and objectives through monitoring performance, encouraging feedback, innovation, and proactivity in an effective manner
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings: Within the team/unit and with the Regional Team Manager
  • Involvement in department’s recruitment process as required
  • Ensure team/unit is conversant with key procurement requirements in the region (channel managers, connectivity, sales, loading, ops etc.)
  • Have team/unit take ownership of commercial relationships with hotels, liaising closely with other departments (broadly “Reservations”, “Sales”, “Revenue”, “Accounts”) as opportunities arise
  • Effective internal communication with other departments, i.e. promote and highlight successful contracting campaigns and highlight potential destination-oriented issues, as and when appropriate/required
  • Deputise in the absence of the Director of Contracting
  • Meet targets in accordance with annual departmental and company KPI’s and objectives
  • Negotiate and agree competitive contracts meeting company requirements in terms of rates, allocations, commissions, override agreements and other key contracting criteria in the designated areas
  • Analyse production volumes to ensure adequate inventory in line with destination targets
  • Maximise contract performance by negotiating tactical and special offers
  • Schedule and undertake in the year contracting trips for renewals and new hotels in line with personal targets
  • Provide suggestions/advice to the Pricing and Revenue team to maximise profit margin when needed

  • Able to develop, and maintain, strong and trusting relationships with hoteliers and colleagues
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Native in Greek and fluent in English
