Job Description:

The Head of Contract is responsible for defining, developing, and leading Artemest’s global Contract business, positioning the brand as a reference partner for high-end hospitality, residential, and retail projects worldwide. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial development, and project execution, ensuring Artemest’s artisanal excellence, customization capabilities, and curated network of makers are translated into scalable, profitable contract solutions aligned with luxury market standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify and develop opportunities in hospitality, luxury residential, yachting, retail, offices, and public spaces
  • Build Artemest’s presence among architects, interior designers, developers, hospitality operators, procurement companies, and project managers
  • Establish Artemest as a preferred contract partner for multi-category projects
  • Lead business development activities for the team
  • Lead negotiations for large-scale and high-value contract projects, including pricing, margins, timelines, and contractual terms
  • Define commercial policies, discount structures, and profitability targets for the Contract channel
  • Manage key global accounts and strategic partnerships
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Marketplace teams to integrate contract opportunities into Artemest’s ecosystem
  • Lead the Contract team (sales, account management, project management, design)
  • Collaborate closely with Artemest International Sales Teams (NY, Miami, London, Dubai) to evaluate opportunities and secure project development standards
  • Define processes, tools, and KPIs to support scalable growth
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration
  • Oversee the full contract project lifecycle: from brief analysis and feasibility to production coordination, delivery, and installation
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners (artisans, manufacturers, logistics providers)
  • Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and quality standards required in international contract projects
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, risks, and client satisfaction
  • Work closely with artisans and manufacturers to scale bespoke solutions while maintaining artisanal quality
  • Translate client and market needs into product and service enhancements

Requirements:

  • 7/10+ years of experience in Contract / Project Business within luxury furniture, design, or interiors
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience managing complex negotiations and P&L impact
  • Proven track record in roles comparable to Head of Contract / Project Sales in premium or luxury brands
  • Deep understanding of contract project dynamics, including hospitality and bespoke projects
  • Strong operational and project management skills
  • International mindset and willingness to travel extensively
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management
  • High sensitivity to luxury positioning, craftsmanship, and design culture
  • Ability to balance creativity, feasibility, and profitability
  • Fluent in English and Italian
