Head of Container Division Job at AsstrA (Istanbul)

Job Description

Head of Container Division will manage all container transportation operations of the company, increase the efficiency of processes, and ensure customer satisfaction. To enable the container division to achieve strategic goals by ensuring smooth and timely service within the logistics chain.

Job Responsibility

Plan, coordinate, and manage import, export, and transit container transportation operations
Develop and implement suitable transportation solutions based on customer needs
Manage effective use of containers within forwarder processes, including loading, unloading, and storage operations
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and port authorities
Manage and develop the team
conduct personnel planning and performance tracking
Support the digitalization of operations through the use of systems and technology
Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction
Prepare performance reports related to the department and present them to senior management
Monitor departmental KPIs and take corrective actions when necessary to achieve targets
Work closely with sales and customer representatives to develop strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth
Identify and implement new business opportunities, transportation schemes, and additional services
Monitor processes related to the container department and ensure necessary coordination
Collaborate closely with sales, road transport, air transport, and business development departments
Develop and implement new transportation schemes that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in container transportation and operations management within the forwarding sector
Leadership skills and experience in team management
Good command of English
Customer-oriented working approach
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
