Job Description:

Our client is a growing Utilities and Civils contract business. The business has grown significantly of the last 2 years, with an extensive forward order book and ongoing contracts. Due to a combination of succession planning and genuine growth, they are now looking to appoint a Commercial leader to sit across several business units. They are committed to delivering projects in a way that respects the environment, supports the economy, and benefits society. As part of the Commercial team, you will benefit from a range of training and development programs, such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) membership/chartered status, leadership coaching, professional accreditation and mentoring.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate a full business partnering model with key stakeholders, whilst maximising savings and benefits delivery.
  • Develop and implement the Commercial strategy for the business.
  • Insulate the business form Commercial shocks.
  • Have full exposure to the organisation, our major projects and our largest industry partners.
  • Build and develop a high performing Commercial team.

Requirements:

  • Ideally degree-educated, with a relevant post-graduate qualification (e.g., RICS, MBA, MSc)
  • Proven ability in senior-level stakeholder management and business partnering.
  • Demonstrable line management experience.
  • Strong pre and post contract negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaborative working methods.
  • Experience in people and team management.
