Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to lead a growing Commercial Insurance division. This diverse and dynamic role involves overseeing a team of Broking staff and Business Development Managers, managing key insurer relationships, and supporting the handling of larger portfolio clients. Over the past four years, the business has experienced 100% growth in premium income, and the ambition is to achieve the same trajectory over the next five years – with the right leadership in place. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Group CEO. For the right candidate, there is a clear path toward becoming a director within the wider business group.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the Commercial division
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the insurer panel
  • Oversee placement and negotiation of premiums with insurers
  • Support business development activities, particularly with key clients
  • Contribute to strategic planning and growth targets
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Commercial team to drive performance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance
  • Proven experience in premium placement and negotiation with insurers
  • Strong leadership skills or aspirations for leadership
  • Experience in client-facing business development (preferred but not essential)
