Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to lead a growing Commercial Insurance division. This diverse and dynamic role involves overseeing a team of Broking staff and Business Development Managers, managing key insurer relationships, and supporting the handling of larger portfolio clients. Over the past four years, the business has experienced 100% growth in premium income, and the ambition is to achieve the same trajectory over the next five years – with the right leadership in place. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Group CEO. For the right candidate, there is a clear path toward becoming a director within the wider business group.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and manage the Commercial division
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the insurer panel
Oversee placement and negotiation of premiums with insurers
Support business development activities, particularly with key clients
Contribute to strategic planning and growth targets
Manage, mentor, and support the Commercial team to drive performance

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance
Proven experience in premium placement and negotiation with insurers
Strong leadership skills or aspirations for leadership
Experience in client-facing business development (preferred but not essential)

Nice to have:

Experience in client-facing business development

What we offer:

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Car allowance £350/month
Bonus potential OTE up to £90,000
