Job Description

As the Head of SME & Growth, Canada, you will lead the team who are responsible for acquiring, retaining and monetizing our customers in Canada. You will have responsibility for initiating, executing, and scaling our Go-To-Market activities and help build out the team to drive exponential growth for Airwallex in years to come.

Job Responsibility

  • Build, lead, and coach the SMB and Mid-Market sales teams in Canada
  • Drive growth and help scale our Canadian business exponentially
  • Collaborate with commercial and strategy leaders to drive growth initiatives that involve all aspects of the customer lifecycle ( customer acquisition, activation, retention, and upselling)
  • Leverage your strong understanding of modern practice in building multi-functional, multi-channel customer acquisition operations
  • Help define the key verticals, positioning and value proposition of our products to drive growth
  • Partner with Americas and Global Marketing to strategize and execute effective customer acquisition campaigns
  • Build channel partnerships with local vendors
  • Work hand in hand with other regions and the global Product team to build the right user experience and tools to continue to drive exponential growth
  • Have the ability to balance vision setting (in collaboration with the Strategy team) and rigorous execution
  • Serve as the prominent representative of Airwallex within the SME business segment in Canada

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressive GTM experience, including in strategy consulting or operational leadership roles in a high-growth company
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing GTM teams of 10 or more, including sales, account management, marketing
  • Demonstrated experience scaling customer acquisition and revenue growth in a B2B environment
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing multi-channel customer acquisition strategies
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Experience in high volume growth in the B2B sales space
  • Evidence of success in growing customer base from the ground up
  • Experience being Player/Coach as needed and love individual contributor work along with being a team lead
  • Creativity and data driven when it comes to growth strategies
