Job Description

A Head of Clinical Negligence is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a regional Legal 500 law firm based in York. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. The role involves shaping the department's future, managing a team, overseeing a varied and high-value caseload, and driving business growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Clinical Negligence department
  • manage and supervise a team of experienced solicitors and legal professionals
  • maintain and develop a complex caseload of serious clinical negligence matters
  • support business development and marketing initiatives to grow the department
  • ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural standards

Requirements

  • At least 10 years PQE in Clinical Negligence
  • experience managing high-value and complex cases
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • exceptional leadership, communication and business development capabilities
  • panel membership (AvMA or Law Society Clinical Negligence Accreditation) is desirable but not essential
