Job Description

As the Head of Client Partnerships - Food, you will play a pivotal role in driving Cartology's growth and success within the food vertical media sales. You will be instrumental in reshaping our approach to client partnerships, rigour of sales management, leveraging innovative strategies to capture a larger share of both trade and marketing budgets. Your leadership will be crucial in positioning Cartology as the premier retail media partner for food brands, contributing significantly to our overall business objectives.

  • Revenue & P&L Ownership: Exceed revenue targets for the Food vertical while managing full P&L responsibilities and balancing short- and long-term goals. Rigorous process management and accountability focus
  • Commercial Growth: Protect and scale the existing trade-spend revenue base while aggressively capturing new client marketing budgets
  • Client Engagement: Spearhead strategic relationships with key accounts, driving impactful pitches and structured call plans to maximize retention
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Design and execute growth strategies and new product launches to elevate the wider Cartology sales portfolio
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated solutions and drive excellence

Requirements

  • FMCG and/or Retail Media Expertise: Significant experience in sales or client partnerships, specifically within the FMCG, retail, or retail media sectors (Food vertical experience preferred)
  • Managing Managers & Coaching: Senior leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and mentoring other people managers. Must possess high emotional intelligence to effectively coach and develop high performing teams
  • C-Suite Presence & Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the executive presence required to personally engage, influence, and build strategic relationships with C-suite clients
  • Data-Driven Sales Performance: A fierce, bottom-line focus with a demonstrated ability to drive client growth, exceed ambitious revenue targets, and deliver tangible results in a high-stakes sales environment

  • Drive partnership revenue across the Immediate portfolio, taking ownership of pitches and converting opportunities into revenue.
  • Proactively generate and shape partnership opportunities within your agency patch and wider market, developing first-class, idea-led responses to briefs, often at pace.
  • Own and grow your agency relationships, building deep understanding of client objectives, business challenges, and planning cycles. You will service the Publicis patch alongside the Head of Partnerships, and act as the dedicated partnerships lead for Havas and Goodstuff.
  • Position Immediate as a strategic partner, proactively pitching our premium audiences to agency partnerships and planning teams.
  • Work in lockstep with Agency Trading, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to agency engagement and revenue growth.
  • Develop proactive, market-facing concepts, taking proactive ideas out ahead of briefs to unlock new opportunities.

  • Lead and run creative brainstorms end-to-end, from setting up the session to facilitating icebreakers and techniques that drive participation, align thinking, and deliver innovative, strategically grounded concepts.
