Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Global Head of Business Marketing to lead product marketing across our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division. This role covers Transaction Banking (Cash, Trade, Payments), Markets (FX, Rates, Commodities), Securities Services, and Financing (Lending, Structured Finance). As a senior leader in the global marketing team, this role will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for CIB products and solutions. You will work in close partnership with client segment and sector marketing leads, ensuring alignment between product positioning and client needs, and driving engagement with key institutional client segments across regions. This role is a key driver of the bank’s corporate and institutional growth agenda, ensuring that our products and services are not only market-leading, but also clearly understood, well-positioned, and meaningfully differentiated in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead global product marketing strategy across all major CIB business lines
  • Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions tailored to client needs, business priorities, and industry trends
  • Partner with Product, Coverage, and Client Strategy teams to support product innovation and commercialization efforts
  • Develop and lead integrated go-to-market plans for new and enhanced products, services, and platforms
  • Work closely with sector and segment marketing leads to ensure cohesive execution aligned with client priorities across industries and geographies
  • Define messaging frameworks and enable sales and coverage teams with high-impact collateral, pitch decks, client presentations, and digital tools
  • Oversee the development of insight-led content (whitepapers, product briefs, case studies, video, digital assets) to showcase the bank’s product strengths
  • Run targeted campaigns to drive product adoption and pipeline growth
  • Collaborate with global communications and brand teams to elevate visibility around key themes including ESG, digital transformation, and capital markets innovation
  • Establish robust KPIs to track product marketing effectiveness, lead generation, and business impact
  • Use data and client insights to continuously optimize positioning and campaign performance
  • Champion the voice of the client and market trends in shaping product marketing strategies
  • Lead and mentor a global team of business marketers aligned by product pillars
  • Act as a key liaison between marketing, product, sales, and client coverage teams
  • Enable a performance-driven culture through transparency, insight, and continuous improvement
  • Lead from the front as an advocate for Agile Principles and drive an Agile way of working in your team and beyond to leverage cross functional expertise
  • Lead by example in transparently promoting the organization’s values and delivering in an aligned manner
  • Create an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand

Requirements:

  • Extensive years of experience in B2B financial services marketing, with a focus on product marketing within a global banking or capital markets environment
  • Deep understanding of institutional banking products and services, including transaction banking, global markets, securities services, and structured financing
  • Demonstrated success in creating go-to-market strategies that bridge product and client engagement
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience working in matrixed, global organizations
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and influence senior stakeholders across business and marketing functions
  • Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or Master’s in Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred
