Job Description:

A national architecture practice is seeking an experienced Head of CDM and Principal Design to oversee and lead their CDM and Health & Safety team from their Manchester office. With seven offices across the UK and a growing portfolio of high-profile projects, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading consultancy at an exciting time of expansion.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee CDM and Health & Safety management across projects
  • Manage and mentor a team of CDM Principal Designers and Advisors
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact, providing expert CDM guidance on a wide variety of projects
  • Produce and manage fee proposals and control project invoicing
  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and best practices across all projects
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive successful project delivery
  • Work collaboratively across seven offices to maintain consistent and high-quality CDM services

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum requirement
  • Extensive experience in CDM and health and safety roles, ideally with experience as a CDM Principal Designer
  • Proven experience managing small teams within a construction or consultancy environment
  • Strong client-facing skills, with a background in managing CDM projects and acting as the client contact
  • Ideally to have experience producing fee proposals and managing project invoicing
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
