Job Description:

Senior leadership position within Banking & International Risk responsible for providing independent and credible challenge to the First Line of Defence on capital markets activities. The successful candidate will serve as the senior Risk representative on the firm's newly formed Financing Commitment Forums (FCFs), which reviews and approves new debt and equity issuance transactions for the bank's clients.

Job Responsibility:

Strategic Risk Leadership: Act as key advisor to Equity and Debt Commitment Council
Independent Oversight and Challenge: Provide independent review of First Line's due diligence
Transaction Integrity and structure: Review covenants, investor protections, disclosure quality
Risk Evaluation: Assess conflict of interest, reputational risk, operational risk, compliance risk
Policy and Framework Management: Contribute to development of global risk management frameworks
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with Investment Banking, Compliance, Legal
Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior risk professionals

Requirements:

15+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or capital markets
Focus on investment banking or corporate finance
In-depth knowledge of investment banking products including debt and equity underwriting
Strong understanding of financial, regulatory, and reputational risks
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory environments (SEC, Federal Reserve rules)
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
Proven leadership abilities to challenge senior stakeholders
Superior communication and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field required
Advanced degrees (MBA, Master's in Risk Management) or certifications (FRM, CFA) highly desirable
