Head of Capital Market Backoffice - CASPL

Job Responsibility

  • Manage Back Office teams to ensure that the daily capital markets transactions are processed and settled and delivered smoothly and efficiently
  • Pay attention to potential operational risk and work on the preventive measures
  • Introduce new measures to automate work processes and in response to market changes
  • Work towards a zero operational error environment
  • Engages in direct customer contact to ensure quality and timely services in transactions processing and inquiries are provided
  • Recommend on resource allocation to achieve operation efficiency, participate to recruitment and all Human Capital actions for CMB
  • Ensure the management of the teams (animation, recruitment, trends, definitions of goals, appraisal, training. Ensure strong team cohesion and implement Human Capital actions for your perimeter
  • Maintain high level of co-ordination between regional back offices
  • Participate to global, regional and local projects such as new information systems, new activities development, innovative solutions etc…
  • Ensure the change management related to various transversal projects and actions plans defined
  • Propose actions or processes reviews to improve efficiency and security of trades processing
  • Improve the Permanent Control supervision on the perimeter
  • Develop an effective reporting to the Head of Capital Market Operations and the global head of Back-Offices

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence
  • Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and properness to perform the role
  • Undertake all necessary steps to satisfy the annual certification process
  • Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator

Requirements

  • Post Graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Capital Markets Operations, especially in Fixed Income Foreign exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), and Securities (Bonds)
  • Experience in FX/MM processing, Islamic Banking products, SSI and CLS operation
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in management
  • Familiar with full operation cycle
  • Experience in Transformation in Operations
  • Good hands-on knowledge in SWIFT and related operations
  • Good understanding of the processing of Capital Markets/SSI/CLS Operations and its organization
  • Excellent Risk awareness (especially operational risk)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
