Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically-minded leader to take on the dual role of Head of Campus Network Germany and Service Delivery Manager for our German national network infrastructure. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the seamless, high-quality operation and delivery of connectivity services within a Product and Service Line (PSL) model, particularly focusing on Service Operation and Delivery. Based in Ottobrunn, Germany, you will be the local representative and accountable authority for all German network activities while collaborating closely with international teams across France, the UK, and Spain. This position reports directly to the Head of Campus Network.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead your direct team (10 reports) in line with the Airbus Leadership Model and functionally steer a team of approximately 30 professionals (RUN Operations resources) to ensure the end-to-end delivery of all operational tasks
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance across the four domains of PSL Connectivity: Campus Network, Datacenter Network, Wide Area Network, and Network Security
  • Secure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage Reporting, KPIs, and SLAs
  • Oversee Change, Problem, and critical Stakeholder Management across the network domain
  • Ensure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is consistently maintained and kept up-to-date
  • Manage the financial administration of vendor contracts for Maintenance, Licensing, and Support
  • Ensure the operation of the network infrastructure in close alignment with Product Managers and plan the on-call service (Rufbereitschaft) schedule
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement, identify and eliminate non-value-added activities, and secure the business long-term to contribute to Airbus profitability
  • Act as the representative for PSL Connectivity Germany in the international organizational environment
  • Ensure compliance with stringent security requirements, including obtaining the German official security clearance (Ü2)
  • Engage, develop, and motivate direct teams within company values using HR processes and development tools

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a Service Delivery or Operations role (PSL model preferred)
  • Strong Project Management skills are essential
  • German Citizenship is mandatory
  • English: Business fluency (company language) is mandatory
  • German: Fluent in both spoken and written German is expected
  • Experience with network infrastructure technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and EfficientIP, as well as expertise in Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions, is a significant benefit
